When does the next performance season start for the Rounders?

The first of five full rehearsals begin February 10, 2015, however, percussion and many Auxiliary groups begin before that date. See our calendar for details.

What was your main trip in 2014?

For our major trip for 2014, the Rounders marched in the Washington DC Cherry Blossom Festival Parade and performed a patriotic concert on the steps of the Jefferson Memorial, at the peak weekend of the cherry blossoms to thouasnds of park visitors around the lake.

Are there auditions for new members?

Although there are not auditions for musicians, Auxiliary positions are filled through an audition process at the beginning of the season. See Auxiliary Minimum Requirements document. All rehearsals are mandatory for both groups.

Is there a required uniform for musicians or auxiliaries?

Both musicians and auxiliary have a required uniform that is a cost absorbed by each member. See musician uniform details here. Auxiliary uniforms are ordered at the beginning of the season, after auditions.

What has been the mantra of the group?

Our Mantra: We are dedicated to those who have marched in a high school, college or military marching band....and have dreamed of doing it one more time.

What age is the target for this group?

Participation in the Rounders starts at age 18. We have Rounders that enjoy performing into their 80s.
